Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 10, 2026
Vinc is a service of Vinculo, LLC ("we," "us," or "our"). We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, how long we keep it, and the choices you have, including how to close or delete your account.
1. Information We Collect
Information you provide directly:
- Phone number (used for WhatsApp or SMS communication)
- Name and language preference
- Group membership details (group name, beneficiary account information you provide)
- Contribution amounts and frequencies you set
- Payment reports you submit ("I paid $X on [date]")
- Conversation messages sent to our service number
- Voice notes you send us, and their transcripts
- Photos and PDFs you send us, such as receipts of transfers
- If you sign in with Google: the name and email address of your Google account. We use them only to sign you in and to show your name to your group. We do not read anything else from your Google account, and we do not sell or share this information.
Information collected automatically:
- Message timestamps and delivery metadata
- IP addresses of web visitors
- Basic usage analytics (pages visited, browser type)
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide the coordination service (tracking contributions, payment reports, and confirmations)
- To read the details of a transfer from a receipt or voice note you send, so you can record it with one reply
- To send reminders and notifications relevant to your group activity
- To respond to your messages and support requests
- To improve and develop the service
- To comply with legal obligations
We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising.
3. How We Share Your Information
We share information only as follows:
- Within your group: Group organizers can see member names, contribution amounts, and confirmation status for members of their group. Members can see their own data and aggregate group status. Photos and PDFs sent to a group's receipt library can be seen by the members of that group.
- Service providers: We use Stripe (payment processing), Twilio (messaging), Google Cloud (infrastructure), and Anthropic or Google (AI). These providers process data on our behalf under their own privacy policies.
- Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or governmental authority.
Mobile information and messaging consent: We do not sell, rent, or share mobile phone numbers, SMS opt-in data, or SMS consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. We may share this information with service providers that help us deliver and support the messaging program, but they may use it only to provide those services to Vinc.
4. Data We Do Not Collect
We do not ask for or store:
- Passwords or other credentials for your bank or financial accounts
- Payment card numbers (card payments are processed securely by Stripe; we never see or store your full card details)
Transfer details you choose to share, such as where your group sends money or a receipt that shows an account number, are kept only to coordinate your group. For contribution tracking, we only know what you tell us. When you say "I paid $150," we record that report. We do not verify it with any financial institution.
5. Data Retention
We keep your information while your account exists, or as needed to provide the service. Voice notes, photos and PDFs you send are kept for the duration of your account and are deleted with it. When a group is deleted, its records, receipts and voice notes are deleted too.
6. Closing or Deleting Your Account
You can close or delete your account yourself: sign in at vinc.group, open Settings, and choose Close or delete your account. Our assistant can explain the choices and send you the link, but it can't close or delete an account in a chat.
- Close your account: we stop sending you messages and reminders and sign you out everywhere. We keep your information so you can come back: sign in again or send Vinc a message, and we'll offer to reopen it.
- Delete your account: we delete your profile, your conversation with Vinc, your voice notes, the photos and PDFs you sent, and your contributions. Transfers you reported in groups that continue stay in that group's records without your name, because other members rely on that history. To confirm, we text a code to your phone, or ask you to type DELETE if there is no phone on your account. This can't be undone.
- Groups you organize: before you close or delete your account, you choose who organizes each group next, or delete the group for everyone. Its members are told.
- Plans you pay for: a group plan you pay for is canceled at the end of the period you've already paid for, and the group's members are told.
Deleted files are removed from our storage within 2 days, and copies in our backups expire within 7 days. We keep a record of your consent to receive SMS messages (your phone number and when you agreed or opted out), as messaging rules require. You can also ask us to delete your account by emailing hello@vinculo.money, and we will process the request within 30 days.
7. Security
We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted data storage, access controls, and secure communication channels. However, no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of your data.
8. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data
- Object to or restrict certain processing
- Data portability
You can close or delete your account in Settings at any time (see section 6). To exercise any other right, contact us at hello@vinculo.money.
9. Messaging and Communication
Vinc sends recurring automated transactional SMS messages only after a user explicitly opts in. Users can opt in by texting START to the phone number published on our SMS Updates page. When a separate SMS consent control is offered in a Vinc form, it will be optional and unchecked by default. Consent to SMS messages is not a condition of purchasing a subscription or using Vinc's web service.
Messages may include account verification codes, invitations and onboarding steps, contribution reminders, records of member-reported transfers made outside Vinc, beneficiary confirmations, and group activity updates. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out; after one confirmation message, no further SMS messages will be sent unless you opt in again by replying START. Reply HELP for help or contact hello@vinculo.money.
10. Children's Privacy
Vinc is not intended for individuals under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe we have inadvertently collected data from a minor, please contact us immediately.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via the messaging channel associated with your account. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
